The CRNS
is a membership organisation set up to provide support and information for community led groups involved in recycling, reuse,
composting, reduction and waste education activities.
Glasgow Council for the Voluntary Sector is the main development
agency and advocate for voluntary and community organisations in Glasgow.
The Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations is the national body representing the voluntary
sector. SCVO seeks to advance the values and shared interests of the voluntary sector.

FRN promotes the re-use of unwanted furniture and household effects for the alleviation of need, hardship, distress and poverty.
FRN: bringing social, economic and environmental benefit through the re-use of unwanted household items.

Lanarkshire Furniture provides low-cost furniture and household items and volunteer and training
opportunities.The project collect good quality re-usable furniture and members of the public can come and buy at low cost
from our warehouse in Rutherglen.
“Spruce Carpets supplies and fits low cost quality refurbished carpets, linoleum and carpet
tiles. Spruce has experienced sales staff who work with individual budgets, getting the best deal to suit everyones
needs.
We are a project that provides meaningful activity for people with mental illness by recycling and
repairing old bicycles. We also run a music project called Polyphony and make things.
Community Can Cycle is established to address poverty and lack of opportunities faced by the children
in our community by providing a free bicycle repair service. We do so in a way that promotes the reduction, reuse and recycling
of the Earth’s resources by recycling drinks cans and lemonade bottles
The 'Getting Into Recycling' project promotes sustainable waste management behaviour to local community
groups through a series of free and tailored interactive workshops, presentations, games, events and exhibitions. It also
provides support to local groups that wish to set up community recycling projects.
Starter Packs Glasgow provides a range of general household goods that most of us would consider
essential for setting up home – bedding and bedlinen, crockery and cutlery, mugs and tumblers, towels, pots and pans,
general kitchen items and utensils, small electrical items.
A local charitable group in the South East of Glasgow involved in open space projects, landscaping,
public art, community development & research, and healthwalks.
